Alaska Sled Dog Racing

Rim Country veterinarian Alan Hallman (left) and his son Rand last January returned from a big-game hunt for alligator in Louisiana. The two killed an 11-foot, 500-pound reptile. Dr Alan works at Star Valley Veterinary Clinic.

 Alaska Sled Dog Racing

Sled dog medicine is a passion and he has been vetting sled dog races in Alaska and Canada since 1994, including the Yukon Quest 1000 mile race and the Copper Basin 300.  He served as the Yukon Quest Head Veterinarian in 1996, 1997 and again in 2010. And has been selected to be a vet at this years Iditarod race.

Coming the following month March 15th 6 pm building C Steve Sams on Arizona Wild Turkey Hunting, entitled "Talking Turkey".

Sams has served as the board president for the Arizona State Chapter of the NWTF and a leader in Arizona's Hunting and Angling Heritage Work Group.

 

 

Shoot For The Heart is an instructional outdoor recreational time with an emphasis on hunting and fishing in God's creation.  The purpose is to help families who love the outdoors, become better hunters and fishermen, and build relationships with others who share the same interests. This group will meet monthly.

Family oriented for those who love being in God's beautiful outdoors!
