Christmas letter from
Tom and Lena Navarro one of our missionaries serving in the Ukraine:
I thought I would wish
you all a Merry Christmas.
We have lots of snow and it has been snowing for a few days now and
below zero for a few days now.
Every one here knows how to celebrate; they gave us a surprise
Christmas tree with presents on the 24th. We weren't expecting it was
a great surprise
We put on a dinner for the Mayor of the city and all the people in
authority, the fire and police department. We just invited them for a
Christmas dinner on the 25th with American food and American
traditions. We thought we would just serve them and share the gospel
at the end. It was a great turn out, we had over 45 come and they all
were very attentive and shocked that we would serve them. There were
some seeds planted so pray that there will be some good relationships
started from this.
In Christ!!
Tom and Lena

How to Unworry in 2009
Is it possible that 2009 will bring to you areas of concerns that could potentially turn into pockets of
worry? Are there those you know to whom that might happen?
Sunday, January 12th, Pastor Larry will be giving the second
part of the two part series on "How to Unworry in 2009" - a
great time to invite others to attend with you.

Kingdom Builders
37 Kingdom Builders
went caroling to the Powell House, Payson Care Center, and the Rim
Country Health and Retirement Community. It was a great
experience for all. Dave Mirko and Gil Gabaldon played their
guitars and everyone else sang beautifully (well they sang). We
gave out a lot of hugs and gifts. The love of Jesus went out
that night and we were blessed more than the recipients. It was
a great privilege to do ministry to people who really needed
it. Jesus thank you for coming!!!
There are two opportunities to be in a Kingdom Builder class on
Sunday mornings. Roger Kortman teaches one at 8:45 in building
D and pastor Kraig teaches one at 10:30 in building C. Hope to
see you there!!!

Men's Ministry
It was dark and
cold on December 19th, fifty of our men rose early and made it to the
men's breakfast. Don Beatty and crew fixed a wonderful
breakfast! Dave Yoder and friends led us in worship, and John
Tuebner brought a message from the Lord on how the Pharasees saw
Jesus. It was a great time connecting together and learning
from the Word. The next breakfast will be January 30 at 6:15 in
building C. Roy Sandoval will be speaking. Men it has been
worth all of the effort to get there. God has something for
you!! Pastor Kraig

Happy New Year from the Women's Ministry Team
We pray that you will see God's loving
hand touching all that impacts your life in 2009! We look
forward to another very effective year in Women's Ministry as we
serve the needs of our Mountain Bible Church women and the community
in which we live. Uncertainty is all around us...but we
are CERTAIN of this: God is still on His throne and He cares
for us in the midst of uncertain times. Let's share that Love
with those He sends across our path in 2009.
I am both humbled and excited as I look forward to serving you in the
role of Women's Ministry Director, accepting the baton that Jan
Chapek recently passed to me. It has been a personal blessing
to be under Jan's leadership and to be touched by her caring spirit
extended to all women. As Jan steps down from her post, it's
great to know that she continues to be a very active part of Women's
Ministry. As the Lord leads, the WM Board and I will continue
what has become a very effective MBC ministry to and for women.
Be sure to stop periodically at the Women's Ministry table on
Sunday mornings to check out the very latest information and
opportunities that await you! I am available to listen to your
thoughts, ideas or questions so that we may best serve you. You
may reach me at womensministry@mountainbible.org .

Jovial Jokes from Jana
One summer evening during a violent
thunderstorm a mother was tucking her small boy into bed. She
was about to turn off the light when he asked with a tremor in his
voice, "Mommy, will you sleep with me tonight?"
The mother smiled and gave him a reassuring hug. "I can't,
dear," she said. "I have to sleep with
Daddy."
A long silence was broken at last by his shaky little voice:
"The big sissy."
"A merry heart does good like a medicine..." Proverbs
17:22

We are sorry we can't put everything in our monthly
Cache that many people have requested, after all it is just a
newsletter not an Encyclopedia. Some times we will just
give a teaser of the subject and there will be a link to go to our
website to read the article tied to the teaser. If you enjoy
this newsletter and know someone who would like to kept up with what
is happening at MBC forward it on to them using the link below.
