Dear Joel,
JOY
AND PRIVILEGE
Those two words best describe how I feel about my role of Lead Pastor at
Mountain Bible. God has truly blessed the Harper family with you!
Many thanks to the steady stream of new MBC friends who kept us
overstocked (and overstuffed) with delicious meals and welcome baskets.
Other than having a few extra pounds to shed, we couldn't be more
grateful. We so appreciate the overall outpouring of love and
support.
And what best describes our Easter celebration together? I praise
God for over 800 adults and 108 youngsters who converged on our campus to
remember Christ's resurrection. Several attendees didn't expect to
leave with a changed heart, but they did! Of the number who came
forward for prayer after the messages, several made the decision to
make Jesus Lord of their lives. What a glorious crescendo to an
already magnificent day! Thanks to each in our church family who made it
all possible. Amazing things happen we all work together - everyone
contributing what they can.
Let me close with a brief commercial for my upcoming series from the
gospel of Luke. When we consider all that Christ has done for us,
how could we not make every effort to please Him with our lives?
How could we not place our whole selves at His disposal? Sometimes,
however, with all the pressures and demands around us, living a
transformed life can be quite a challenge. In the next nine weeks
we are going to allow Jesus to coach us toward reaching this goal through
the writings of doctor Luke. The series title is as follows:
Nine Essentials of
Living a Tranformed Life.
Don't miss a single
one...and bring someone with you who needs to learn the secret of living
the great life as well.
Have a blessed April!

breakfast will be served from 8-8:45 am followed by worship and Beth's
teaching beginning at 8:45 am.

have been moving quickly and we expect to sell out by the end.
Pre-registration is required. A continental breakfast and great lunch
are included in your $25 ticket. Tickets are available at the
Women's Ministry Table on Sundays, at the church office and at Oasis
Christian Bookstore. (A limited number of partial scholarships are

your friends, invite a friend, come make new friends...you'll enjoy the
special day we have planned for you and you'll love hearing Beth live
from Atlanta! Her newest book "So Long, Insecurity" will
also be available for purchase at the event.
We are one of over 800 churches across America hosting this
simulcast...we'll join our sisters in Christ from all over the country
praising God together on this one day!
DO WE HAVE
TALENT!!! It's proven! On
March 26th more than 90 gals gathered for our first "We've Got
Talent" show. We enjoyed the beautiful God-given talents of
our own MBC gals. Some performed with music, poetry, readings and
then there were many displays of talent...like quilting, painting,
ceramics, scrapbooking, porcelain dolls, stitchery, silks, crafts and so
much more. It was an amazing evening and great fun. Thanks to
all who participated.

Kingdom
Builders
Last month a group from Kingdom Builders went to the bowling alley for
some great fun. I was amazed at the skill of the athletes.
Well we had a good time. After the bowling we went to Scoops and
all was well. I find that ice cream cures anything.
Coming Friday April 30th at 6:00 pm. In building C is an interactive
international dinner put on by the Giving Circle. The cost is five
dollars per ticket. Jim Baugh will be
speaking and you will not want to miss this event. For tickets and
information contact Karen Borgman at 472-7934
Next month we will get a report on the train trip from Clarkdale through
the Verde Valley.

We
had our All
Youth Night March 19th with
Scott Murray as our guest speaker. He did a great job giving the Gospel
message and really connected with the students. Scott and I both had the
opportunity to speak with some students after the message. Scott also
spoke to our youth on Sunday morning, March 21st, He really challenged
the students to be consistent in their Christian walk. Please continue to
pray for the youth in Payson and for the churches to continue
to plan events that bring us together.

Mission
Mexico

THANKS
to everyone for all your prayers. We had a great trip and arrived home
safe.
We had the dedication for the house on Saturday. Alma just stood and
cried every time she looked at it. She and her daughters were all very
blessed. Thanks to everyone who made it possible for us to go, and thanks
for all the things that were donated. I think all the rooms turned out
really beautiful.
While were there Lisa let us know that she has another house that she
would like us to do in the fall so you will be hearing more
about that later.

Ricky,
Heather & Elise

Mountain
Bible would like to introduce Ricky and Heather
Lundholm and their one year old daughter Elise. They are missionaries
with Mission Aviation Fellowship and newly supported by Mountain
Bible. Ricky grew up in Payson and came to know and trust Christ at
Mountain Bible during high school. He graduated from Payson High
School in 1998 and he and Heather were married in 2004. With
Mission Aviation Fellowship, or MAF, they will be assisting the body of
Christ in bringing Christ's love to the most remote and un-reached
villages and tribes in the jungles of Indonesia. Ricky is a pilot
and a mechanic and he will fly and maintain MAF aircraft that carry many
types of missionaries. Church planters, Bible translators, medical
missionaries, and well-digging crews are examples of those whom Ricky
will fly. For those missionaries, usually the only alternative to a short
30 minute to 1 hour flight on an MAF airplane is a hike through the
jungle that could take days or weeks. A flight out on an MAF
airplane is often the only option for survival for a person who is
critically ill in these regions.
Ricky and Heather will be visiting Mountain Bible on Sunday
April11th and Sunday April 18th, and will have a
display set up in the Ramada. Please
stop by to meet Ricky and Heather and to learn more about MAF. If
you would like to consider being a part of their financial and prayer
support team you can find information at their table. You can
also sign up for their update/prayer letter if you would like to follow
their ministry in Indonesia.

Jovial
Joke from Jana

A
father is telling his son bedtime stories to help him sleep. The
only sound is the murmur of the dad's voice. Two hours pass, and
there's silence in the room. The mother creeps to the door and
whispers, "Is he asleep, dear?" "Yes, Mommy,"
says her son.
